Mr. S.A. Mondal is an accomplished techno-commercial professional with extensive experience in Manmade fiber manufacturing, currently serving as the Plant Head of a state-of-the-art Polyester Filament Yarn and Polyester Staple Fiber manufacturing facility.
With over 32 years of hands-on leadership experience in synthetic yarn/fiber production, polymer processing, spinning, texturizing, and utility operations, he has played a pivotal role in ensuring uninterrupted plant operations, process efficiency, and compliance with statutory and international standards.
As Plant Head, he is responsible for end-to-end plant management, including production planning, process control, maintenance, utilities, quality assurance, EHS, manpower optimization, and cost control. He provides strategic directions to ensure continuous production with minimal downtime and cost, aligning operational goals with business objectives.
Hands-on knowledge in Polyester & Nylon Polymerization, Polyester, PBT, PP and Nylon Spinning (POY, FDY, IDY, BCF and Tyre Cord), Draw Twisting, Draw Texturizing, Air Texturizing, Cabling, Heat Setting, multifolding and staple fiber Draw line along with expertise in master batch production, Dope dyed and conventional dyed yarn, new product development, energy savings, reduction in cost of production and creating team synergy.
Excellent in taking initiatives in reducing cost of production by reducing manpower cost, energy cost, maintenance cost, inventory management, by improving operational performance in terms of machine efficiency increase, waste reduction, quality improvement and process simplification. These measures significantly contributed in the bottom-line.
He is known for his disciplined leadership style, strong coordination with cross-functional teams, and commitment to developing a safety-driven and performance-oriented factory culture. His ability to balance continuous production demands with workforce welfare and legal compliance makes him a key pillar of the organization’s operational excellence.
Mr. S.A. Mondal holds a M. Tech in Fiber Science & Technology from IIT, Delhi and B.Sc. Tech in Textile Technology from Calcutta University. He has completed various professional trainings related to polymer processing, industrial safety, energy management, quality management and factory leadership.
